Beth Ott

Director

Beth lives with her family in New Westminster and is a busy volunteer in her community.  Since 2010, she has been an active parent on three school Parent Advisory Councils (PACs) and on the New Westminster District PAC; supporting parents and students enrolled in public schools.  For 3 years, she was the coordinator of a local community garden and has been a happy gardener there for more than 10 years.  In 2000, she assisted her parents to form Microboards for her sisters, Amber & Latisha.  She was the chair of Amber’s Microboard for over 15 years and has been on Latisha’s Microboard for over 5 years.

Professionally, Beth is a Physiotherapist, working in Paediatrics for over 30 years.  In that capacity, she has worked with children and families in across the lower mainland and in numerous smaller communities in BC.  This work has allowed her to have first-hand insight into the unique community strengths and challenges that families have to navigate in order to support their children with special needs.
