Criminal Records Review Program Update

The Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP) is going through some updates and recently sent out an email about the upcoming changes.

Please review the updates below:

Microboards and Individualized Funding Users

For Microboards and Individualized Funding users, there will not be a requirement to create a business BCeID and transition to the new online platform. You will be able to continue submitting your criminal record checks for your staff via your online link or with the manual consent forms if you do not want to transition to the new online system.

Staff Submitting Applications

For potential and existing staff who are submitting their criminal record checks via the applicant-based online service (eCRC) there will be an expansion of ID verification options. In addition to using their BC Service Card Login, there will also be an option for those without a physical BC Service card to set up the BC Services Card Login and submit an online criminal record check.

Applicants will need two pieces of government-issued ID to verify their identity. Alternatively, applicants can submit online but choose to have their identity verified directly by the Microboard or Individualized Funding Agent.

Manual Consent Forms

For those that use the manual consent forms, there will be updated forms introduced as the transition happens – these will be sent to you by the CRRP.

All existing consent forms will no longer be valid or accepted once the transition to the new system is complete.
