Catrina Thomas is an accomplished individual who embarked on her academic journey at Thompson Rivers University in 2020. Recently graduating in June 2023, Catrina is now completing her articles at Hamilton Duncan Law Corporation, bringing her exceptional skills and passion for law to the profession.

During Catrina’s time in law school, she actively engaged in various extracurricular activities and community involvement. Catrina took on the role of a teaching assistant for first-year constitutional law, where she played a crucial role in developing a universally accessible curriculum. Catrina served as the student representative for the Kamloops Bar Association, actively contributing to the legal community and representing the interests and concerns of fellow students.

In Catrina’s third year, she worked as a student clinician at the Thompson Rivers University Community Legal Clinic, providing valuable legal assistance to individuals in need while gaining practical experience in a real-world legal setting. Catrina also dedicated her time and efforts to the MS Society placement through Pro Bono Students Canada, working to support individuals affected by multiple sclerosis. Catrina’s commitment to this cause extended beyond her involvement with Pro Bono, as she continues to volunteer with the MS Society to this day. Catrina has also been is actively involved in Vela Microboard as a volunteer for over ten years.

Catrina cherishes quality time spent with family, friends, and her dog Hamish and cat Endeavour. Catrina expresses her artistic talents through jewelry-making and grew up participating in fine arts such as dance and choir. Catrina’s academic achievements, her passion for the law, combined with her commitment to empowering others, makes her an indispensable asset to any team.
