Angela Branch

Mentor

Angela was born into a family that advocated for people with disabilities and grew up immersed in the teachings of her grandma who cared for a sibling with a disability. Angela carried on with the passion for the Community Living field by volunteering for the local crisis line, hospital, Special Olympics, and day programs before attending Camosun College to become a Community Support Worker.

For over 20 years, Angela has had an everchanging career path in the disability sector, including supervising a day program and opening new group homes for a variety of non-profit organizations. She continues to educate herself in the areas of behaviour intervention, crisis and trauma response, and emotion-focused therapy.

Angela lives in the Greater Victoria area with her two teenagers and two cats and enjoys creative writing and getting lost in nature in her spare time.
