Si Stainton
Mentor
Si brings a rich background in social services to her role at Vela, with diverse experience spanning from supporting adults with intellectual disabilities to senior management in training and policy development. Since relocating to Canada in 2001, her focus shifted to family support, first at a Child Development Centre and then at a Community Living Society.
Si is a single parent to four remarkable adults, one of whom has an intellectual disability. As the IF Agent for her son’s CLBC Direct Funding, she leads a dedicated team providing tailored services that support his needs.
Si is pleased to have joined Vela’s team of incredible women and will be assisting families with all aspects of Individualized Funding (IF), Microboards, and the Criminal Record Review Program. In her spare time, Si loves to read, walk her dogs and Tiktok.
